Garlic, Cilantro Naan

Nothing beats the taste of a garlic naan, accompanied with ma ki daal ( black lentils), and lassi!

Here is a simple recipe to inspire you to make soft and flaky naans in your kitchen. Believe me, it’s easy and worth the effort! ( oh, did I say effort?)

Garlic, Cilantro Naan

Ingredients:

2 cups all purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

½ cup yogurt

1 tsp oil

1 tbsp lemon juice

Garnishing: 6 cloves garlic, and few mint and coriander/cilantro chopped fine ( just give a whiz in your food processor)

Sesame seeds/nigella seeds ( optional)

Method:

Make a soft dough.Cover the bowl  with a cling film and let rest for about 4 to 5 hours.

Divide the dough into 6 balls.

Take some dry flour, and roll out.Top with garlic, cilantro/coriander mixture, and cook in a pan. Serve warm with butter.
