Easy Cheesy Bites

These flavorful, crunchy cheese bites are a great make-ahead appetizer, and also the perfect snack that your family will enjoy.

120 gm Flour (3/4 cup)
75 gm Butter (1/3 cup)
80 gm Cheddar Cheese, grated (1 cup)
3 tbsp Fresh Cream
½ tsp Salt
½ tsp Chili Powder
½ tsp Baking Powder
¼ tsp Mustard Powder
Sesame/poppy seeds/nigella for topping

Preheat oven at 150 C.
Line and grease a baking tray and keep aside.
Sift flour, salt, chili powder, mustard powder, and baking powder together.
Cream butter till soft, add grated cheese to it.
Add in fresh cream to the butter mixture and gradually fold in the flour.
Knead gently to make a soft dough.
Wrap dough in a cling film and refrigerate till firm.
Roll out the dough to a ¼ inch thickness and then cut out shapes using a cookie cutter.
Place them onto a greased tray and using a pastry brush, slightly brush them with milk.
Sprinkle sesame/poppy/nigella seeds and bake at 150 C for about 20 minutes or until golden and crispy.
Cool on wire rack.
Makes 20
