 Let the good times roll…

Fluffy and light enough to gobble with some melted butter any time, rich enough to serve with soup for lunch and dinner. A simple recipe for rolls that can be made in just half an hour.

Ingredients

3/4  cup warm water
1/3 cup olive oil
2 tbsp oil
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
3 1/2 cups  flour
Oil for greasing muffin tin

Directions
Lightly grease a muffin tin.
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
Knead well.
Apply a little oil in your hands and divide the dough into 12 balls.
Leave to rise for 10 minutes.
Bake in a muffin pan at 200 degrees C for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove the rolls from the oven and cool on a wire rack.
Brush with melted butter.


Yields 12 rolls
Good served with some hearty homemade soup.
You can also use thyme, spinach, feta cheese and olives for stuffing. For variation, you can also make cloverleaf rolls by placing three dough balls in each muffin cup.

 

Finally, you can sprinkle sesame seeds and dance with joy at your successful attempt at making rolls! You did it!
