Bhature: Indian Bread

Fried, fluffy and soft Indian bread that pairs well with Chhole/Chick peas and a glass of buttermilk.

Chhole Bhature

1 2/3 cups AP flour
¼ cup semolina
½ tsp baking powder
Pinch baking soda
¼ tsp sugar
2 tsp oil
Water as needed
Oil for frying
Make a stiff dough and let it rest for 2 hours.
Knead the dough again.
Divide it into balls.
Grease the rolling pin and the board. Roll like a poori and deep fry on both sides until golden brown.
You may also use yogurt instead of water to knead the dough.
Serve hot with Chhole.

You can also make Bhature with self-raising flour.
